Musical Moment

February 28, 2008 at 1:34 pm 5 comments

Here is a list of some of the music I have been listening to as of late.  I enjoy music that isn’t always played on the radio.  I love the catchy, yet relaxing tunes that appear on some TV shows I watch, certain commercials and other odds and ends.

I purposely search for artists that aren’t well known and introduce them to my friends and family as something ‘new and different’ from what they are normally used to listening to.

If there is anyone out there that would like to share some of their favorite music, please feel free.  I’d love to hear them!

1. Life After Love – Low vs Diamond

2. Bubbly – Colby Caillat

3. Dream Tonight – Rhonda Stakich

4. Everybody’s Changing – Keane

5. I feel It All – Feist

6. Mixed Up – Rhonda Stakich

7. Mushaboom – Feist

8. New Soul – Yael Naim

9. Peachy – Missy Higgins

10. Just For Now – Imogen Heap

11. Sending Love – Casey Marshall

12. Steer – Missy Higgins

LOL – good thing this is a free WP blog and you don’t have to worry too much about bandwidth, a la dooce’s daily style post about her mp3 lists. =) I think I would have heart failure at that amount (2k ?!).

I think it’s safe to say I am not a huge fan of either of the lists you two posted today. hehe But my ideal list would make your eyes roll (hey, I knew I named my blog that for a reason!!). So it’s all good. However, it’s not ALL country, surprisingly enough.

The tune that cannot leave my bloody head most days of late is, ‘Let it Out’ by Starrfadu (you know – Kleenex commercial).

Hey – I think you sent me Peachy the other night. Haven’t listened to it yet…I should get on that, eh?

I have Let It Out too, just didn’t post it this time around. This is just my recent listening…Believe me, I have TONS more.

    I haven’t listed anything 80’s yet…It will come!

Oh, I am well aware you have tons more. Remember, I sat at the other end of chat waiting for Polly to stop lagging bcuz of the 9million GB’s you had of tunage. LOL

I laughed so hard when I went thru some of my ‘mixed/burned’ CD’s yesterday. It was a music day…filled with emotion. But boy, Rob was drippy – CD’s from him made me laugh the most.

I do not search for new artists on purpose. I just go with whatever my ears like. And they mainly dig country. So how do you search for little-known artists? Google? Maybe there are some new country artists out there that need some attention from moi.

    LMAO….I Love Polly!

Rob. ROFL. That’s all I have to say about that!

As for finding artists, I google as I hear of them. Some I find on other blogs, sites, TV shows, etc. The odd time, I hear about them through others. The most fun is when I google for random people and come across some.

    YAY INTERNET!
